... they are allowed. If you want your elven character to fall in love with a dwarf, you can, and if you want your faerie to have a crush on a handsome faun, then go ahead. There's no limits to your imagination.
Moreover, if you wish to.. umm.. interbreed them (lol) you can do it, of course, and then we could start having Half-Lenneck, Half-Elven characters, for example. It sounds pretty interesting, doesn't it?
