THE HISTORY OF DESTINA

Destina's civillization is believed to have began with the discovery of magic. The following tribes of people assembled and formed their own societies:
*Humes (the humans)
*Nayelis (the elves)
*Lennecks (the fauns)
*Guis (the dwarves)
*Echas (the faeries)

These five races have their own continents on Destina and live independent of each other unless the need for trade is generated, if there is war, or if they simply need to travel. The five races have split their designated Ethers (the areas belonging to each tribe) up into separate pieces where the federal government has no jurisdiction. Only the Imperial governments may enforce international law in these Ethers.

Following the creation of Destina's Civillizations, they proceeded to attack and dominate each other. Here is the account of the most important wars in the history of Destina:

~War history~

*The Battle of Circa*
[1102 BE]
This cold war went on for a while before the Nayeli finally snapped and started attacking outlying villages. The humes ignored this for a while but once the Nayeli threatened Circa, a prime trading port for the humans, they declared war on the Elven-folk.
Several bloody battles later, Circa was won and the human took a heavy blow to their economy. Enraged, the humans of Circa attacked the Nayeli army, leaving many dead on both sides and the Nayeli with no more port to control. It was a great victory for the humans. They took to the mountains, intending to drive the elves back into their homeland, but unfortunately, the humans failed in their assult and the Nayeli kept Circa, which is now a duelling Ether for both races.

~The Revolution of Bizzaz.~
[1845-1852 BE]
It was the year 3980 and the faerie city of Anima was celebratory of their increased trade route. They partied for several days and nights, even Queen Mia entered the festivities. However, the fuedal system of Bizzaz, the lord at that time, was unjust to anyone that didn't own land, which was a grand 60% of the population at the time. Bizzaz often threw parties for the wealthy, making the sector even more poor than its neighbour who was doing trade with the elves.
The poor people of Anima weren't the only one's to suffer: The whole of the Faerie Ethers were suffering because of Bizzaz's extravagant tastes. The people, led by a faerie-woman named Selanne, rose up against the aristocracy and took several castles before they were stopped by imperial guards. Even if they hated Bizzaz as much as they did, they were paid men and would lose their job if Bizzaz died.
Selanne was locked up and executed for treason, then her blood was given to the dwarves -the highest act of shame in the faerie's eyes, for the Guis had always been the Echas enemies.
Bizzaz lived for another three years, when his Guards stabbed him some fifteen times in the back. His body was then burned and buried at the foot of Selanne's grave, and the faeries have been at peace ever since... except, of course, for the new slave trade that is taking its toll in Echar. The dwarves still have a war to fight...

*The Great War*
[1902-1916 BE]
Arguably the greatest war in Destina’s history. It was between all the Ethers: The Humans and elven's tensions rose again when the humes refused to trade with the Nayeli. It ecalated when the humans added assassination to the mix: they murdered a major democrat in the Nayeli society and even killed the Nayeli Queen. The dwarves allied themselves with the humans to stop the war, but the elves, ever present in world affairs, joined their faerie cousins and fought the war with them. The fauns remained in the mountains, peaceful as they always were, not getting themselves caught up in the turmoils beyond their borders.
The fighting was as grim as always and was forever resulting in neither side gaining ground. The humans wouldn't, and both sides demolished several important cities before the humans surrendered to the elves. A good thing did come out of this though: The Imperials of Destina were created in order to stop that kind of pain and devastation again. The royal families of each race were set up again, and a new system of commerce and communication had begun.


*The Slave Trade*
[2057 BE to the present]
The echas are currently victims to the slave trade. All the races are responsible for this tragic incident, but mostly the dwarves.

*The Battle of Dwarves and Fauns*
[2062 BE to present]
A new war is here, this time between the Lennecks and the Guis, and no one knows when it will end. Will there be alliances? Which race will triumph, and which race will succumb? We shall wait and see...
