There were certain things, certain people, even certain days, that Seron simply wasn't a fan of. This, was one of those unfortunate times. It wasn't that he hated everything that was happening, no, he could never. But there were aspects of today, that he simply was not looking forward to. It had occurred time and time again, over the last thirty years he supposed he had somewhat gotten used to it now. It, being his step-father's demands of him. Why did this man try so hard to make him obey? There was an irritation he felt, hidden deep inside, since the very first moment that man had ordered him around. He was not his father, he had no right to tell him a thing. He had grown up long ago, through wars long fought. Wars in which this man hid in fear, not fighting, not seeing the chaos or the bloodshed of it all. Yet, the Nayeli still obeyed silently. Why? His mother. She was all he had left really. If it made her happy for him to do so, then he would without question. While there were things he would do, what his step-father had proposed recently, was something he simply would not agree with. Forcing him to try and marry a lovely young girl of noble standing, even royalty if possible. Did that man think so little of him? It appeared so. His own feelings of the matter weren't taken into consideration at all when this had first began, let alone his own personal preferences. What was he going to do?
For now, it was just best to get through today first. Yes, that was a much better idea then dwelling on the things he simply could not change. His mother had suggested he wear something at least somewhat smart. His family, well, more like his step-father had been invited to meet with the Queen of all people! As such, he had insisted they all attend, including him. Much to Seron's distaste. It wasn't that he wouldn't like to meet royalty one day, but that sort of place just never seemed right for him. Maybe he was other thinking it, or maybe it was due to his step-father ordering him there, as opposed to asking him like any being might have of their step-son. But no, he wasn't that sort of man, at least to him. Nonetheless, when his mother looked at him in such a sad manner after they'd spoke about it, he just couldn't refuse her. But even then, despite dressing far better than he would have for traveling, his bow and quiver still came with him. It was within the palace sure, but he doubted he would be meeting the Queen personally, that was what his step-father was here for. And the Nayeli could really do with a way of staying entertained without getting into trouble while he waited for that to happen, it would probably take a good few hours as it was. Might as well do something productive while he was there.
The day arrived and Seron left alongside his mother without a word and while she seemed concerned considering how quiet he'd been, he simply smiled it off. He was fine, he would just be even better once this was over after all. Then again, he'd probably be hearing his step-father boast and talk about it for days. What a drag. Luckily, he was needed back in Kalas soon, which meant another trip. Ah, the freedom of travel. Sure, it might take him a while, but being able to go anywhere and do anything (within reason of course), that was something he loved. Nonetheless, while his step-father and mother were told to wait, the Nayeli was free to roam into certain places. But he was careful not to go too far, he may be curious about a place as grand as this but looking suspicious would do him no good whatsoever. As such, it really wasn't long before he came across what looked like some gardens... indoors? Wasn't that a little odd. Huh. Even so, his eyes were quickly draw away from the strangeness of the situation and towards just how wonderful it looked. Dark eyes taking in as many details as he could.
Surely enough, wandering back and forth did get a little boring. So it was no surprise that after half an hour the young Nayeli was tugging his bow off his back, nocking an arrow and aiming towards one of the walls of the area, eyes narrowed. When he released that arrow however, instead of letting it hit the wall, he allowed his magic to kick in. guiding the arrow to curve around the various plants and trees about the place before coming to rest in his palm. Practicing both his aim, quick draw and magic all at the same time. All without hurting anything or one. Nice. Seron being the archer he was, became so very focused on the task at hand. Little was he aware of another's presence close-by, or that he was being watched either. Oh well.
