 The year is 2017. The Death Eaters are dead and gone, for the most part. Only a few remain here and there, but they’re so scattered and their crimes are so disorganized and petty that no one pays them any mind. Plenty of them have died off or are in Azkaban and the new generation of people rarely hears of them as more than a historical figure.
But a new group has arisen.
Not an organized group, as such, and nothing at all like the Death Eaters, but a threat nonetheless. A threat that is much more silent and much more hidden.
A threat that is slowly infiltrating the ministry.
Over the years, some of the Death Eaters started talking and some people started agreeing. And those people, the younger generation that saw what happened when the Death Eaters rose, got smarter. They don’t have a ring leader, like Voldemort, but they do have the same goal--to take control. There are whispers around the magical world that something seems a bit off recently, that maybe the Ministry isn’t what it used to be, but most agree that it’s never been the same since Voldemort.
All of their idle chatter and brushing off has led to what it is now--a ministry that is almost entirely run by the wrong side. With no opposition but the few that are beginning to understand, they are that much closer to taking over. There are very few employees that are still good and even fewer that are old enough to pose any threat to the new order.
With almost free reign they have started to station members at Hogwarts School in order to recruit fresh blood, knowing that they would be better assets than enemies. In light of this new threat, it's important to know where your loyalties lie.
